The day started at exactly 14:00. Several clubs were already in and started their warming-up which was a good thing because right after a minute of silence for the late German Sensei Kückelhahn our divisioning teachers took off with a fierce hour of Judo! Marvin de La Croes (who doesn’t know him? World youth champion), Dennis Sissing (our volunteers coordinator), Arian Noordzy (Our network man, and himself a high-level kata judoka), Ruud van Zwieten (Dutch champion Ju-nō-kata), Jenny Koster (Our chief referee) and Mark Lubbers (kata judge) took our guests through some exercises so the SNJF people could check whether their divisioning was valid.
After the divisioning, Tycho van der Werff did a short talk on our new pilot project: The randori system, which we will start implementing on Sunday the 14th.
BENG-XXI has started! Day one is complete!
